Anurag born on 13th September 1992 in Ambedkar Nagar District, U.P Completed schooling at South Kolkata's M.G Rungta Academy. Started learning singing from Mr. Basant Kumar in Kolkata.
Participated in a reality show "Star of Kolkata" telecasted on a regional TV channel. Got first exposure on Television. Learned light classical from Ustad Rashid Khan's Academy. Got selected for Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Academy in 2010. Learnt Playback singing & other technical aspects of Music.
Got selected for the reality show "Bharat Ki Shaan - 2" in 2012 on DD National. Hosted by Manoj Tiwari & judged by legendary Usha Utthup ji & composer Ismile Darbar. After that real struggle started in Bollywood Music Industry. He used to sing lots of scratches for many composers and Sang lots of serials title tracks & jingles as well. Very few people know that the very popular official jingle of BSNL "phone mila aur muskura" is sung by Anurag Maurya.
In the year 2016, Lyricist & composer Urmila Varu got impressed by his voice after listening to some of his cover Songs on the internet and decided to collab with him. After this, his first singles got released "Meri Manzil", and "Tum Bin" were released in 2017. The same year "Maa" song was released by T-series.
Got appreciated by some big Bollywood composers. This song was written by Saahil Sultanpuri. (Commando 3 fame) This was his first collaboration with him.
In the year 2018 got his first break as a playback singer.
Sung 3 songs in the movie "PLAY THIS" (written & directed by Sourabh Shrivastav). Also acted in a short film "The Visitor" which was nominated for Bafna Film Festival, playing a role of a crime writer. Sad romantic song Koi Toh Mere Paas Hai sung in movie "Maal Road Dilli".
Most of his songs were released by the record label Music Fitoor under the Music direction of "Urmila Varu" His couple songs as composer and singer also got released "Jab Se Tum Ho Mile" & "Chalne Lagi Hai". Last year he introduced his younger "Anupam Maurya" also as a Lyricist in his single "Kyun Ho Gayi Juda”.
It was a huge hit. Lovely duet romantic song "Rooh Ki Maujoodgi" sung with melody queen Alka Yagnik Ji. Done live shows in India & Abroad and Recently released the song "Galliyon Wala Banaras" becoming popular day by day. This song hits 1 million views within 4 days its release.
