Deepti is an Indian film Actress, who has worked predominantly in Bollywood. Deepti was born and brought up in Lucknow, India. She has done MBA in Finance from the Jaipuria Institute of Management.
Deepti started her career as an investment banker. She took up investment banking as she had considered her work in theatre and other shows in the entertainment industry as her hobby. When she finished her studies (CA and I C W A), she was placed in a bank. But after one and a half years she realised that this was not what she wanted to do with her life.
So, she decided to follow her heart and do what she loves doing and make her hobby as her profession. Deepti left a lucrative career in investment banking to follow her dream of getting into the entertainment industry. She says a shift in careers can be both exciting and glamorous.
She has won the title of Miss North India and she took part in Femina Miss India where she was a regional finalist. She has also appeared in the television series Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and also hosted a reality show named Hasya Samrat, which was aired on Zee Marathi.
She has also done movies like Nazar Hati Durghatana Ghati and Rock Band Party where she played the lead role. In 2020 lockdown she has done three music videos named Harayana Roadway with Singer/Rapper Badshah, Toot Jaayein, Lala Lala Lori.
She adds, her mom is a great singer, though she hasn’t sung professionally. So, when she developed interest in singing her parents found a teacher for Deepti. She began learning classical music under Guru Usha Tyagi ji at 12.
But after completing her studies and bagging a great job, when Deepti told them that she wanted to leave it all and pursue a career in singing, her parents were shocked. Who wouldn’t? She was a MBA and had an amazing job in London. But she knew how to persuade them.
After all, it is her mother who always told Deepti, 'whatever you do in your life do it with passion and intensity'. She is now making her debut as a singer. Deepti has sung for a few other music albums too that shall go on air in the coming months.
Last year she finished shooting for a film, 'Nazar hati durghatna ghati' which is yet to release and Deepti's previous film to hit the theatres was Rock Band Party in the year 2022.
