Neetu Mehta, a young energetic girl in spite of her who thrived to become what she is now,
With struggles since her childhood, she was struck by her very first big challenge when she had to suffer a polio attack at the age of 1. She had to go through the toughest phase as a little child, she regained some mobility but the effects of polio made studying and learning it really difficult.
The poor child couldn’t attend a regular school. She had opted for self-study from home. Time passed and she grew along with her challenges, she had to spend time alone, with not one friend to call her own.
This didn't stop her from learning and trying new things, she wanted to quench her thirst for creativity, she mastered the art of making handmade accessories and crafts, and self-learning made the path tougher but her own zeal kept her going. After mastering her craft she showcased her talent to the world through exhibitions hosted in her home, encouraged by like-minded souls, having got a positive response.
We wanted to build more. Now she decided it was time to expand. Spread her wings and explore the outside world. She decided to take the help of callipers to overcome the physical challenges. Everything seemed like going well, but then covid 19 had hit the world.
She couldn't continue her caliper practice, she had to do it all by herself again, she only had youtube videos to support her in her practice, and she didn't want to give up. She practised and practised standing and climbing stairs.
Now she can go out, yes it's not easy but she will never quit she says. She is ready to put more effort into perfecting her walk, she aspires to play games like football. She participated in a chess competition in 2019, and though she couldn't win, she gained a lot of wisdom.
It was her first time, she cherishes that experience, she is also trying out basketball, and got a wheelchair for herself for additional help. She cherishes everything she possesses and she is proud of her belongings for she had to strive hard for every little thing her eyes glitter when she says “I own these belongings as a result of my business”.
The thought that she is independent and can make things happen for herself brings rejoicing. She wants to go far ahead and reach all her goals, flying high to realize her dreams. She wants to inspire, she wants to help her kind and make their life a little easier. Her other hobbies are photography and acting. She hopes she gets a chance to explore her hobbies and also visits foreign countries as an achiever.
