Breaking Barriers: Extraordinary Tale of Triumph | Heena Sharma

Heena Sharma is from Delhi NCR she has done post graduate from CCS UNIVERSITY. She has a locomotor disability after birth and cannot walk, but it doesn't affect her.

Her hobbies are singing, dancing and making videos. She has done so many projects including the promotion of brands. Recently she participated in an event and tried her hands on modelling. Also participated in the project of the Aasmaan foundation trust. She loves to show the world that the limits are only in the mind. "Believe we can definitely do anything".

She has always considered her wheelchair as her wings, they make her feel independent. Since she has to shift herself on the wheelchair, she never takes help in doing that and to make this process easier she keeps a close check on her diet and eating habits (also keeping a few cheat days to keep going).

She has an extra supportive family who never let her feel different in any manner, her dad and mom pamper her with all the basics and luxuries too including her makeup, clothes, fashion jewellery and others too. She is an active user on social media platforms and this keeps her updated with all new trends and fashion.

Music has always been close to her she started singing bhajans during her school days. Her family sensed her talent and helped her polish it by joining classes and appearing for exams in the field of music. Post that she learned to play musical instruments and later decided not to restrict herself to learning them but also teaching them.

She has been in contact with a lot of people with disability. She has observed the sense of fear amongst them, the fear of being left out, being treated differently or being sympathized. She actually feels that we must accept ourselves as we are and feel confident in facing the world.

If we go out once that boosts our confidence and helps us grow forward, we must feel that we are not disabled but just differently abled, crying about what we have not chosen but given by god will not help. Rather accepting what we are and how we make the best out of this is what we need to do.

She has also been a poser and also a model. She started performing in her school times and this journey took her to participate in the rising star where she got through two rounds! The major breakthrough in her life was when she sang in the ‘Iliyaraja’ song, a project by the asman foundation.

This got retweeted by Shri “Amitabh Bachan” and many more celebrities. Later she participated in many competitions and events like a singing star and love actually. Today she is also associated with product promotions, events, shoots and a lot more. So be a fighter and win your challenges and don’t give up and let anything stop you.
