A testament to perseverance and success in para table tennis | Sanjeevkumar Hajeri




SANJEEVAKUMAR HAJERI is the most successful para table tennis player in India.


He was born on September 1979 in a middle-class family of Bhavanasing and Sulochana's 4th son, in a small village in Karnataka state Vijaypur district Talikoti.


Unfortunately, he was affected by polio in his right leg in 1980 after that life is very tough but his parents and his brothers or his real heroes supported each and every minute of his life. He completed his school and college in his native because of his Disability.



After joining High School his friends and teachers are motivating him to participate in School events like volleyball and cricket.


He started his sports career with able body players while he is in college one day he saw Table Tennis on his college campus from onwards he is thinking he can also play table tennis after that he started taking coaching from his friends and teachers and now he started coaching at checkmate table tennis club in Bengaluru Mr Dinesh Jayabalakrishnan an International coach he supported all the para-table tennis players in Karnataka.


NATIONAL EVENTS:

His sports journey starts in the 2000 National Games in Bengaluru with two silver medals as of now he played 14 national championships with two selection trials and got many Laurels to our state Karnataka.


INTERNATIONAL EVENTS:

And his International sports career started with a gold medal. He participated in World Games for the Disabled held in Bengaluru in 2009 this is his first gold medal for India in palatable tennis.


As of now, he played 10 International events with two Asian regional Championships his current world rank is 62 in singles and his Asian rank is 13 in singles. This all happens only because of his supporting family, brothers, wife, son and all his coaches and friends.


Now he is a working teacher of science in a government school near his village in Karnataka state.


Lastly, his statement is "You will face many defeats in life but never let yourself be defeated"
