Mental health, defined by the World Health Organization (WHO), is a state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community.

Nowadays employees across the organization are chronically stressed out or are battling anxiety issues. A negative workplace environment leads to physical and mental health problems and loss of productivity amongst its employees. As per a study Globally, an estimated 264 million people suffer from depression, one of the leading causes of disability, with many of these people also suffering from symptoms of anxiety. A recent conducted by WHO estimates that depression and anxiety disorders cost the global economy US$ 1 trillion each year in lost productivity.

Operations of many organization have suffered as they failed to support the mental wellbeing of their employees. Owing to which many employers have now started enhancing emotional and mental health benefits for their employees.
